This is accom-plished in the following manner: With the heavy endof the tube touching the base of the bud and the smallend standing out, start to squeeze and draw that petalup to the center of the bud, as shown in step 4. Stopsqueezing and continue pulling the tube away. Thiswill break the petal off. The petal on the right side, the last petal, is started in the same manner. Theheavy end touches the base of the bud and the smallend stands out. Starting at the very bottom of the bud,use pressure, move the tube up to the center of thebud, stop squeezing and continue moving. This willbreak the petal off. The stem and the three smallgreen stem-like leaves are made with a No. 3 tubewith slightly thinned down green icing. |
