FOOTBALL CAKE The football is made with a small Easter Egg moldusing the sugar mold method. The cake is trimmed in a pastel yellow with a No. 30 star tube. Granulatedsugar was colored green by placing a little color in thesugar and mixing. The sugar was then sprinkled onthe cake top. Lines to simulate a football field werepiped in with white icing. FIRST ANNIVERSARY CAKE This is an 8 inch cake trimmed with a simple borderand three tiny sugar bells worked in a series on theside of the cake. These bells were made by using thesugar bell method described in detail in this book. Thebells were outlined in royal icing and dipped in silverdragees (small silver candied balls). The rose was madein royal icing and a 5 inch candle placed in the centerof the rose. |
