Before decorating this cake, a small curved outline is drawn in. The lattice work is then placed into the out-line. The cake is trimmed with a No. 16 tube. A tinystem arrangement with buds completes this simple cake.
The musical staff was made with a No. 4 tube. Theborder was made with a No.l6tube held directly abovethe cake. The border is completed by simply squeezingand stopping and continuing all around the cake. Threesimple arrangements of flowers were worked in to com-plete this unusual cake top. The cake top was trimmed with a No. 16 tube using a gentle back and forth motion as you move around theouter edge of the cake. The flowers may be pipeddirectly on the cake or be made up ahead of time ona nail in royal icing. |
