THE TROPICAL BIRD
The Tropical Bird is completed in much the samemanner as the Bird in Right. Using a No. 3 tube, stripthe tube with the brush method in two bright pastecolors. Fill the cone with a slightly thinned downboiled icing or piping jelly. After the wing is formed,the tail is brought down to an angle giving the body anelongated look. The body is formed in the same man-
ner as the Bird in Flight. After completing the head,the tuft of feathers on the head is obtained by squeez-ing and pulling away slightly from the head. Use acombination of bright colors for your stripping. Abeautiful effect in colors gives this bird an unusualtropical appearance.
