This is another flower to be made in royal icing with the use of your No. 7 nail. Use a No. 104 tube filledwith a delicate pink icing. Put a dot of icing on your nailand place the square of waxed paper on the nail.Tilt the cone in your right hand with the large endof the tube at a 45 degree angle directly in the center of the nail. As pressure is applied, move the tube out 1/8 of an inch turning the nail as the petal is being

formed. See step 1. As you return to the startingpoint in making this first petal, ease off on the pressureand stop. Each petal is made in the same manneruntil five petals are formed, completing the apple blossom. The center is put in with a very fine tube.Slide the waxed paper off the nail and proceed withthe next flower.
