PECAN GLACE2 cups granulated sugar1 1/2 cups corn syrup

1 cup water

2 cups pecan pieces1 teaspoon butter 1/2teaspoon salt

Combine sugar, corn syrup and water. Cook without stirring to 300 degrees. Reduce heat and add pecans,butter and salt. Mix well, pour on to greased cookiesheet.

RED TAFFY APPLES4 cups granulated sugar 1/2cup corn syrup 11/2cups water

1 teaspoon wild cherry flavorred color

8 medium sized apples (with meat skewers)Combine sugar, corn syrup and water. Boil to 285degrees. Add wild cherry flavor and coloring. Dipapples into hot syrup and twirl throwing the excesscandy off the apple. Stand on a buttered cookie sheet.
