1 oz. powdered gelatine (1 pkg.)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
After the marshmallow has set for the 5 hour period,
turn over and moisten the brown paper on which it
was poured. This will make the paper peel off the
marshmallow.
After peeling off the paper, sprinkle the top again
with powdered sugar and cut in strips about an inch
thick. Turn each strip over and cut in 1 inch squares.
Combine sugar, corn syrup and water. Cook to 240degrees.
Dissolve gelatine in 1 11/4cup cold water and bring to aboil. Add sugar, syrup, vanilla and salt and beat for10 minutes. Line cookie sheet with white or brownpaper (do not use waxed paper). Spread 1 inch thick.Must set for 5 hours after spreading. Sprinkle pow-dered sugar on top to prevent sticking.
